Welcome to my new blog. It's my intent to create a community surrounding discussions about the Kingdom of God and my new book "Leadership Essentials". I nvite you to stop by often and offer a post and please do tell your friends about it.
Leadership Essentials, just released in May, is already gaining significant momentum because of the manner in which the subject of leadership has been approached.

Hi Pastor Nolan, I just completed reading Chapter 1, Practicing Rest, of Leadership Essentials. I immediately stopped reading, emailed my husband and suggested a simple train ride into Downtown Chicago. For us right now, the Mini Vacation is too big. But the Micro Break is just right! As I continued to read, I came across "Making It Happen" and the first paragraph blessed me even more. I can already tell this book is going to be a blessing to those in leadership positions inside and outside of ministry. I think you are an excellent role model when it comes to demonstrating balance between family and ministry. This is something that I've never witnessed before. So many ministers, young and seasoned will be blessed by Leadership Essentials.
The first chapter is a complete blessing. The Christian and corporate world view resting as slothfulness, and the attitudes that come along with fatigue should be excused. For the first time ever, since I have been in corporate America, I took a full weeks vacation plus an additional Monday. I did not carry my laptop or work phone. My attitude, was that I was going to genuinely enjoy myself and relax, and not feel guilty for doing so. I can honestly say, I have not felt so invigorated in years. Thank you Pastor Nolan for liberating me from the mental block, of believing that it is more productive to chug along until I drop to prove my devotion to whatever endeavor I am apart of, be it the Church or my profession.
